"I'm a Bee" by Mark Anderson is a delightful rhyming book that sweetly describes the many encounters with different bugs and animals that a little girl makes. First meets a bee, a frog, a bug, a cow, a dog, a butterfly, a spider, a flea, a bird and then a cat. The tale is gentle as it moves from animal to animal and insect to insect. The illustrations do a beautiful job in bringing to life each animal and insect. I loved how these illustrations flowed on each page. The insects are very lively as the story moves on and so is each insect as the tale unfolds page by page. I like the unique the illustrations and very much enjoyed the costume chosen for the young girl in this book.

I think Mark Anderson has done a wonderful job in "I'm a Bee" by keeping each of the different animals and insects believable and charming. I really enjoyed this book because it is so simple and easy to read. The illustrations are beautiful and create a lovely story filled with fun. I think this book would make a perfect bedtime story for children. I can picture a young child asking questions, too, as the reader reads out loudly about each animal and insect. If I had a young child to read to I would certainly choose this book as a bedtime story. The ending too is perfect.
