I Hear You: Nashville Spicy Book 3 by Casey Morales is a romance that follows Tyler and Gabe, two seemingly opposite people who, at first glance, have nothing in common other than their love for dogs. Tyler is a party animal who flees from commitment and the dreaded “r” word that stands for relationships. His idea of a good time includes drugs, orgies, and parties. On the other hand, Gabe enjoys his simple, quiet life and works as a dog trainer. Although he’s deaf—after being diagnosed with Usher syndrome and losing his hearing at a very young age—he doesn’t let that get in the way of living. Can these two overcome their differences and have a shot at love?
I thoroughly enjoyed I Hear You. I liked the title, which was apt for the storyline. Even though it’s the third book in the series, it’s perfect to read as a standalone. Tyler and Gabe had a very charming meet-cute that just made me swoon. I also liked that the secondary characters had their moment in the spotlight; they didn’t feel overshadowed or underdeveloped, and each had their quirks. I immensely enjoyed the humor of Sam, Bryan, and Tam. Casey Morales has a way with words that I adored; for example, their use of “gaggle of gays” made me chuckle, and I’d love to read the author's other works. I Hear You is a perfect feel-good and light read to add to your summer booklist and is worthy of a 5-star rating.
