How to Stop Living Paycheck to Paycheck: A proven path to financial fitness in only 15 minutes a week! (Smart Money Blueprint) is a nonfiction consumer finance, self-help book written by Avery Breyer. Many of us live beyond our means or barely get by with what we bring in each pay period. Breyer shows how a budget can help people get beyond the paycheck to paycheck cycle and start planning for expenses and saving. She discusses the benefits of budgeting and dispels a lot of misconceptions people may have about this financial tool. The author discusses credit card and other debt and shows how to pay down or avoid this money trap altogether. Breyer provides a custom-made money-tracking program with the book, and it can be used to design and maintain your own budget. She explains how to set it up for your first month of budget planning and tracking, and how to adapt and maintain it in the future.
Avery Breyer's self-help guide to consumer finances, How to Stop Living Paycheck to Paycheck: A proven path to financial fitness in only 15 minutes a week! (Smart Money Blueprint), is filled with great ideas for getting out of a financial rut. I found her reasons for setting up a budget to be compelling and was impressed by the Money Tracker program she includes with the book. Breyer's writing style is easy and conversational, and reading her book often felt like she was sitting there discussing her budgeting ideas with me. I read the book cover-to-cover as she suggested and am looking forward to working with her spreadsheet to see how our rudimentary budget actually looks in print. How to Stop Living Paycheck to Paycheck: A proven path to financial fitness in only 15 minutes a week is an easy-to-understand, common sense primer for learning to control spending and setting up a budget you can live with. It's highly recommended.
