Margaret Weston is the author of the ‘How do I know?’ series and the BSBP series -Bible Studies for Busy People. The ‘How do I know?’ series arose from a desire to answer the many questions that Margaret has been asked by friends about God. It also includes many questions she has had in her own mind over the years. Margaret enjoyed successful careers in banking and management consultancy until 1998. Since then however she has been able to pursue other interests, take more time to study the Bible and obtain a degree in theology with London University. She is involved in voluntary work with her local church and in the community and is now a passionate supporter of the work of Tearfund. All profit from Margaret’s writing is donated to charity and profit from the ‘How do I know?’ series is donated specifically to Tearfund. This organisation is helping to release people in many parts of the world from material and spiritual poverty.

Being asked to prove that you know God seems to be nearly impossible when you first are asked to prove it, but Margaret Weston in How Do I Know I Know God? does an excellent job of laying out a decisive answer. Margaret opens each chapter with a dialogue, similar to that which Socrates used in his discussions, and then after each, shows the biblical references which coincide with the discussion in a way that anyone could understand. In the first part of the book, Margaret discusses the evidence that has been given to us through history and scripture and in the second part she gives personal testimony to her own relationship with God through Jesus Christ and the Holy Spirit. Each chapter zeroes in on answering specific questions related to God’s existence as He revealed Himself in His creation, as well as through His written word, but it goes deeper into the evidence collaborated by witnesses, of which Margaret is one.
Being able to explain how you know God often strikes a Christian with a sudden profound silence or something which is similar to how a mother answers a toddler when he asks why. However, in How I know I know God? Margaret Weston helps to provide ready answers to that question. By beginning each chapter with a dialogue, she helps the Christian who is struggling to answer the question to take a step by step approach by answering each part of the question, rather than trying to answer the big question. The biblical references are well placed and come straight to the point and the personal testimony backs up the promise that God would indeed be with those who are called by His name. Profound, encouraging and practical, How I Know I Know God? is an easy to read guide that will help you be able to better explain how you know God to anyone who asks.
