In "Hot Buttons Dating Edition" the author talks about dating starting with the early boy-girl relationship. She hits on whether or not to date, missionary dating, physical attraction and violence and abuse in dating. It also talks about protective procedures, uses scripture and suggests the Armor of God and provides strategic scenarios for both parents and teens. There is so much in this little book and you will be amazed at the wealth of information here. I have to say I was very impressed with this book and I think it is a valuable resource for anyone working with teenagers. One really special thing about this book and the 'Hot Button' series is that is gives parents and teens a chance to talk about difficult subjects and gives advice on how to approach the subject. I love the format of this book, with each chapter giving so much information about its subject as well as a challenge and checkpoints. With this and a study guide at the end of each book, the questions are already there for discussion, making it much easier for both the young person and their parents.
I highly recommend "Hot Buttons Dating Edition" to anyone who has children. They are written for tween/teens, but if you have younger children, they will be this age before you know it, so grab a copy of these books for your home library. You may be surprised about the impact these books will have on your family. Another thought for this book would be small Youth group studies. My copy is going to our Youth Pastor for a resource for their studies.
