Bunny the cat’s adventures around the globe continue in Hello, My Name is Bunny! Paris by Matt Bloom. Bunny Simmons-Bloom is back and this time she’s in the city of love, Paris, France. As Bunny gets a taste for fresh air in Paris, she takes off on a night-time adventure where she meets a wise catfish who escorts her across the river Seine. Once on the other side, Bunny sneaks into the Louvre, the most famous art museum in the world. In front of the Mona Lisa’s smiling face, Bunny makes plenty of new friends, including a spider, a swallow, and a pair of rat siblings. Bunny and her new animal friends get up to all kinds of shenanigans in the Louvre, but one fateful night the fun stops. Someone has broken into the museum and is trying to steal the Mona Lisa. Can Bunny and her friends stop the thieves in time, or will one of the most important art pieces be lost forever?
Matt Bloom has written yet another wonderful children’s story guaranteed to delight young readers and cat lovers alike. Hello, My Name is Bunny! Paris is filled with picturesque descriptions of the City of Lights, providing a beautiful backdrop to Bunny’s blossoming friendships. Matt’s story is filled with lessons of courage, friendship, and compassion. Bunny’s adventure in Paris is illustrated by Pippa Mayell and I am in love with her art style and use of colors. Matt has outdone himself with Bunny’s latest escapade, teaching us love, forgiveness, and to enjoy the little things in life.
