Hearts of Stone: Guardian Wings by Inka Loreen Minden is the story of a lonely gargoyle, Vincent. He knew his life was doomed when he fell in love with a witch. When his clan got wind of the situation, they cursed him, pushed him aside, and the demons have killed his love’s family. Witch Noir LeMar is now fighting a losing battle against the creatures that killed her family and are now trying to kill her as well.

But she does not know that she has a guardian. Vincent will do anything in his power to protect her and save her from the demons, even if it means that he will have to blow his cover and give his own life. However, he craves one thing; to touch Noir once, but that cannot happen. Whatever he touches in his human form turns to stone.

Both Vincent and Noir know that their love is disaster-prone. They cannot stop what can happen, but they cannot hold back the passion they feel for each other. Their love is blooming, but the dark forces will do anything in their powers to drive them apart and kill them both. Will they be able to survive all that? More importantly, can their love survive that?

Inka Loreen Minden has finally given us a paranormal romance that is devoid of vampires. Don’t get me wrong, vampires are cool, but it is getting a little too much. She gave us a gargoyle and a witch and, trust me, their story is not what you expect. This is a truly endearing tale of love and sacrifice and you will fall in love with it. I know I did! This is an awesome paranormal romance.
