The princess of Malquar, Aubrey Hale, couldn’t stand Grady Basset, the captain of the royal yacht. The animosity between them began many years ago as children and into their teenage years. Bree loved Grady, but he hurt her by believing his father’s words. Grady’s father, the king’s secretary, said his son was beneath the princess. As they settled into their early thirties, the duo lived to hurt each other. But Queen Charlotte saw something different, love, whereas Grady and Aubrey saw hate. The Queen challenged herself to get the headstrong duo together and down the aisle. She would scheme and manipulate while maintaining a smile. Will the Queen triumph this time, having had more successes than failures with her matchmaking skills? Find out in Head Over Feet by Whitney Dineen.
It’s official! I am a big fan of Whitney Dineen and the Seven Brides for Seven Mothers Series. Lu, Claire, Geoffrey, and Alistair found their beloveds, but the mother of all plots struck again. She set her sights on Aubrey and Grady, and no one could save them from a determined woman. I loved every book I’ve read from this series, and Head Over Feet didn’t disappoint. The storyline and character development were exceptional. Whitney knew how to place people in the right spot like puzzles. This story had humor, drama, romance, and a deep-rooted love for family. I also enjoyed the easy and captivating writing style. The relationship between Alfred and Charlotte was enviable. They deserve a story. I felt that Drew and Agnes would give me the worst headache, but I’m ready. Thank you for a beautiful book, Whitney.
