Grandma Tell Me the Easter Story written by Marlene L Burling and illustrated by Greg L. Smalley is a personalized children’s picture book with a religious theme. It’s designed for grandparents encouraged to teach their grandchildren the spiritual account of the Easter story from the Bible. The child’s name can be inserted in the blanks throughout the story’s telling, and each page contains a scripture for reference. The book starts with the grandchildren asking their grandmother to tell them her favorite story. She tells them the Easter story and introduces them to Jesus, the Son of God, with the scripture taken from John 3: 16,17; God loved the world so much He sent His own Son to die for the sins of all the people in the world; to die for you. From the Passover to the resurrection of Jesus, this story should be told to children of all ages.

Marlene L Burling’s Grandma Tell Me the Easter Story is an engaging way to teach children God’s Word. I find the beautiful black-and-white illustrations effective and appropriate because these emphasize the story being told. Undoubtedly, children raised with a well-developed spiritual life are found to be happier, more optimistic, and better equipped with life’s challenges. As such, this book should be an excellent help for grandparents, parents, and teachers in introducing spirituality to children early on. With all its distractions, the digital age has added new challenges in nurturing children’s spiritual lives, so it’s important to start when they are young. Grandma Tell Me the Easter Story is a perfect book to introduce kids to God’s love for them. Highly recommended!

Grandma Tell Me the Easter Story by Marlene L. Burling is one grandmother’s dedication to imparting to her grandchildren the story of Easter. From a devout Christian perspective, it is an immersive story in which the narrator-grandmother and her granddaughter are part of the story, as the latter asks her grandma to read her a story. The grandmother then introduces her granddaughter to Jesus and proceeds to tell the story of one of the miracles that He is known for. Grandma begins the story from the Jewish ceremony of Passover, where Christ tells his disciples that one of them will betray Him. From there, you will see other popular biblical scenes, like the Garden of Gethsemane, the betrayal of Judas, the trial of Christ, the crucifixion, and the resurrection.

Marlene L. Burling has taken care to ensure that this little Christian storybook will be immersive, engaging, and interesting to young children. As she dedicates her work to her granddaughters, she similarly extends that dedication to your own grandchild. Blanks are provided where you write down the name of your granddaughter to make her feel more involved as a part of the story, as the conversation between grandmother and granddaughter becomes an organic part of the narrative. Moreover, Greg L. Smalley has provided a black and white illustration for that extra coloring activity. If you have a young child in your household that you have been molding to grow up in the Christian faith, Grandma Tell Me the Easter Story may well help in your objective.

Some of the most memorable memories of a person's life involve listening to their grandmother's stories while growing up. Likewise, grandmothers love telling stories to their grandchildren. Grandma Tell Me The Easter Story by Marlene L. Burling is an interactive picture book for children where a grandmother tells her grandchild the story of Easter and how Jesus Christ became the lord and savior of humanity. Complemented by some eye-catching illustrations by Greg L. Smalley, which have been left blank so children can paint them with their favorite colors, the book retells the story of how Jesus Christ accepted to die for the sins of humanity, got betrayed by Judas, sacrificed Himself for the greater good, and eventually comes back to take His followers to the Kingdom of Heaven.

Marlene L. Burling recounts the story of Jesus Christ's sacrifice and the origins of Easter in simple words. Due to her accessible writing style, children of tender ages will have little difficulty understanding the themes and meaning of the Biblical tale. Grandma Tell Me The Easter Story is an engaging and fun way to introduce your child to Jesus Christ and His messages of love, peace, and harmony. The illustrations by Greg L. Smalley bring another layer of interaction to the narrative, and children will have a great time coloring in the drawings. The name of the child listening to the story is also left blank for children to insert their names on the pages. A well-told Easter tale for Christian kids.

Grandma Tell Me the Easter Story by Marlene L Burling is a wonderful children's picture book that teaches children the reason why we celebrate Easter. This book is special and unique as it contains lovely black and white illustrations that give every child the opportunity to color the characters and scenes. It also contains blanks where every parent or the children themselves can insert their name. This book shows two children as they listen carefully to their grandma's favorite story: the Easter Story. Their grandma tells them how and why Jesus sacrificed himself for all of us and how hard it was for Him to go through all He had to do for us. Moreover, this book contains references from the Bible that can be easily verified.

Grandma Tell Me the Easter Story by Marlene L Burling wonderfully presents the saddest and yet one of the most important stories from the Christian religion to all children. In her book, Marlene writes in an engaging style that keeps children hooked to the book while learning about the message of Jesus's crucifixion so they can trust the Lord Jesus Christ as their Savior and Lord. I'm confident that this thoughtful book will help little ones understand and never forget how and why Jesus saved all of us from our sins. Marlene does a great job showing kids why they should thank Jesus for the gift of the cross. Grandma Tell Me the Easter Story is one of the Christian children's books every family should have in their home.

In Matthew 19:14, Jesus told His disciples not to hinder little children from coming to Him. Jesus loves children. Marlene L. Burling also loves children and understands the importance of accepting Jesus as Lord and Savior at a young age. In Grandma, Tell Me the Easter Story, Marlene shares the passion of Christ. Jesus Christ calls all to Him, especially the little children. There is nothing sweeter than a grandmother sharing the Gospel with their grandchildren. Marlene joins the life of Jesus at the Last Supper and follows it through to the death, burial, and resurrection of the Lord Jesus Christ. Christ rose from the dead and is now in heaven, watching over the children and the rest of us. This book is a bold invitation to accept the sacrifice of Jesus Christ and be His forever.

One of the problems in today’s church is knowing how to interpret the Gospel at the children’s level. This is a shame because Jesus says we must accept His sacrifice as a little child would accept a gift (Matthew 18:2-4). Salvation results from receiving Christ’s offering for the forgiveness of sins. This book is written with that goal in mind. I love how Marlene L. Burling has formatted Grandma, Tell Me the Easter Story. Instead of putting a child’s name in the book, she leaves a blank line to put the name of the child reading the book. This makes the invitation to accept Jesus Christ personal. The book is also full of line drawings for the child to color. Draw your child or grandchild close and share the most incredible love story ever.
