Good Too Too and Bad Too Too by Michael Verrett is a fun story about twin brothers called Good Too Too and Bad Too Too. Good Too Too was very good, he was polite and helped with chores, he went to bed on time, and had a pet raccoon named Paw Paw. Bad Too Too was very bad, he wasn't nice, and he never helped with chores, he stayed up late and had a pet alligator named Archibald who wanted to eat Paw Paw. One day, a pirate ship came to town, and the pirates raided the local town. Word of the pirates got to Bad Too Too, and he decided to join them, but the food was horrible and they made him do chores. Bad Too Too misses his home, but he's in the middle of the ocean. Will he ever find his way back home?
I really enjoyed reading Good Too Too and Bad Too Too by Michael Verrett. The book is well written and descriptive. The story is very exciting. I liked that the twins were completely opposite. The book shows that anyone can change, because Bad Too Too eventually changes to be different. The characters are very likeable, because Good Too Too is very polite, and Bad Too Too changes so that he becomes polite. The book has some funny parts. The book was well developed and thought out. The illustrations by Michael Verrett are realistic looking, and help to depict each scene vividly. The pictures are also very colorful, and those of Archibald the alligator are adorable. I would definitely recommend this book to young readers.
