I loved how he said it was okay to be old school (I’m old) and was happy to find out that mail and thank you letters still apply. I found his resume info to be intriguing; I wish I had known about that as well in the past. A hyperlink on a resume is a brilliant suggestion. I liked how he warned you not to give personal information out, especially nowadays with scammers; you can’t be too careful. I loved how Jeff Magnuson used personal stories of his clients; it made it easier to remember his tips. One tip I wish I had known about before was the salary tip. I probably could have saved myself from having to work two jobs. I think Get the Right Job! by Jeff Magnuson is also helpful for freelancers (now that there are more of them). If you think about it, they are job hunting too, just not permanent jobs. I definitely recommend this book if you are looking for a career change.

The advice given is general to many fields and doesn’t rely on any prior experience to be easily understood, so I feel that the book’s aim of easing stress and taking some of the mystery out of the process is well achieved. Overall, Get the Right Job! is a handy pocket guide for any reader seeking career advice.
