Gate of Stars is a work of fiction in the epic fantasy subgenre and serves as the sixth installment of the Grey Riders series. It is suitable for the general adult reading audience and was penned by P G Badzey. With the prelude to a colossal war now over and open conflict starting, the citizens of Damora find themselves being invaded by evil cultists and powerful daemons with no hope of rescue from the Elohir. The last chance for salvation is the Grey Riders, who have taken to the skies for a do-or-die mission to find a mythical gateway through which divine intervention can arrive.

Epic fantasy surely doesn’t get more epic than this tale of pegasi riders on the most important mission of their lifetime – a desperate, last-ditch attempt to open the gates between the mortal and celestial realms to save the world from certain annihilation at the hands of evil incarnate. P G Badzey wastes none of the potential of this incredible setting, consistently demonstrating gorgeous prose that brings the world of Damora to life and never shying away from the devastation of war on the people. The time pressure is maintained throughout the story – this isn’t a race to prevent a conflict, as the conflict has already started. Each setback in Gate of Stars has tangible consequences for the people of the world, and the characters and readers alike feel those consequences. This is a powerful and exciting adventure through a fantasy conflict like no other and is an incredible read that I strongly recommend to epic fantasy fans everywhere.
