To master any art form takes hours of repetitive exercise to integrate the practice into muscle memory. This logic can be applied to our endeavors in other areas, creative or otherwise. To succeed, you must be focused, disciplined, and experienced to achieve optimum results. Apart from the usual benefits of being fit and healthy, exercising regularly also instills a change in outlook, behavior, and mental strength necessary to succeed. Functional Training For The Mind by Jeremy Bhandari shows how exercising regularly or doing any other physical activity enhances our physical attributes and nourishes the mind, helping it to retain its capacity to focus and concentrate, which leads to better use of energy toward attaining our objectives.
Everyone knows how physical workouts help keep our bodies in shape, improving our strength, stamina, and resistance to injuries and illnesses. However, in Functional Training For The Mind, Jeremy Bhandari focuses on the mental aspects of physical training and how it helps us become strong-willed, confident, and determined individuals who aren't afraid of consistently chasing our dreams to completion, to the point that success itself becomes repetitive. As with any physical activity, Bhandari takes a planned and meticulously organized approach to the narrative, presenting well-researched and reasoned contexts for his insights. Overall, I found the book educational as well as inspiring. Anyone looking to motivate themselves should grab a copy.
