For All That Is In The World is a work of fiction in the dramatic, Christian and family-oriented fiction sub-genres, and was penned by author December Knight. In this truly intriguing story with a high concept structure and emotive background story, we meet the young man dubbed the Dragon’s Heart, who is loved by all who come to visit him in Pleasure City. But this boy, Gabriel, works there as a Bound entertainer against his will and seeks nothing more than to keep his sister Priscilla from ever discovering the ways of Pleasure City. As their little family starts to fall apart, Gabriel must gather all his strength for what lies ahead.
Author December Knight has crafted a highly unique and unusual story that has to be read to be fully appreciated. Without wishing to give too much away about the disastrous events that rock Gabriel’s world in this twisting plot, I can say that the emotional journey and narration around his life events is sensitively portrayed, often raw and powerfully emotive. I loved his bond with Priscilla and where it took them, as well as the underlying themes of good versus evil and inner strength that come from the construct of Pleasure City itself. This made for some really inspiring final messages as the plot reached a very satisfying conclusion. Overall, I would certainly recommend For All That Is In The World to readers seeking a truly unique new work of fiction that blends many genres in its clever conception.
