Sam, short for Samantha, is the children's surf instructor for the Aloha Lagoon resort. Alani is Sam's best friend and owns the local surf shop. One is a large hairy man searching for Alani's ex-boyfriend, Nathan. His questions rile Alani and she threatens bodily harm to Nathan if she ever sees him again. The second person is Abigail, Alani's former BFF who left Hawaii at the same time as Nathan. Although uncomfortable with abandoning Alani, Sam leaves her at the bar with Abigail. The following morning Sam walks into the surf shop to pick up her new surfboard but instead discovers Alani hovering over Nathan's dead body. Convinced that Alani is guilty of Nathan's death, the police chief charges her with murder. With all the evidence pointing at Alani, can Sam find a way to clear her friend's name?
