In Embracing the Outcast by Nadine C. Keels, we see Princess Eunice’s story as she faces difficult changes in her life. Her mother has died, and as the second princess, reaching her debut is full of challenges. Will she fill her late mother’s shoes in the Council? Or will she pave a new path; one of her own making? Then she meets a mysterious artist who she had only heard of briefly before. It’s impossible to deny his charm and instant draw on her heart, even from their first meeting, but he also has secrets of his own. Will they overcome the expectations others have and become something more?
When I first started reading Embracing the Outcast by Nadine C. Keels, I expected a quick read and a sweet romance. It is that, but also so much more. This is an incredible story of mysteries and had a depth not expected. I am so happy to have met Juwell and Eunice. Their story surprised me with how deeply their struggles and revelations hit home; this is a truly remarkable story. Embracing the Outcast is a much-needed addition to the genre. I adored seeing the passion both showed for things that were important to them, with beautiful themes of art and creativity, and how we create in reflection of our creation. This beautiful message woven through every page makes this read what it is. In this sweeping tale, Keels’ Embracing the Outcast delivers an unforgettable story of love, acceptance, healing, and compassion where we discover what matters most. A caring heart, a kind word, and a love that covers all.
