Eclipse of the Eternal: The Odyssey of Valerian Kross is a work of fiction in the dark fantasy, paranormal romance, and historical drama subgenres. It is best suited to mature adult readers owing to explicit scenes of sex and violence, as well as the use of strong language and dark themes throughout. In this story penned by author Joseph Farr, readers are invited on a compelling and daring journey into a forbidden world and a tale that combines dark fantasy with erotic allure for mature readers. Set against the tumultuous backdrop of medieval England, the story follows Valerian Kross, a mysterious warrior whose transformation from brutal battlefields to the seductive depths of immortality unfolds in a tale of blood, battle, and erotic awakening.
Author Joseph Farr has crafted a powerfully hypnotic sensual work that plays on all the dark fantasy aspects well to deliver a bloodthirsty romance with paranormal flair. I was immediately gripped by the central protagonist and his enigmatic ways, and I felt that the narrative skill in bringing Valerian’s dialogue, attitude, and actions to life was second to none. There was an eerie level of realism to his motivations and the way his life experiences have shaped him. This lends itself well to the dark atmosphere of the work and the unpredictable, exciting awakenings that many of the characters experience as they are tested. The story moves through different episodes at a great pace, giving readers plenty to sink their teeth into but with never a dull moment in between. Overall, I would certainly recommend Eclipse of the Eternal for fans of dark romance that delivers on every level.
