Dreams, Deeds, and Destiny: Purpose and Possibility in the Space Age by Gwendolyn Rose Forrest is a collection of poems on, as the title suggests, dreams, hopes, and philosophy. Dreams, Deeds, and Destiny is composed of a collection of poems arranged in alphabetical order, though each one stands independently on its own. This book can be read in any order, depending on what subject matter one may want to read about. The poems are exceedingly well composed and have a wonderful lyrical symmetry about them. The topics are wide and varied, and broadly fall under the categories of dreams, destiny, fate, emotions and feelings, the meaning of life and how to find purpose in it, life and death, and more. The underlying theme is philosophical in nature and provokes one to pause and reflect on life and the universe.
Dreams, Deeds, and Destiny: Purpose and Possibility in the Space Age by Gwendolyn Rose Forrest is a wonderfully written book of poetry. I enjoyed reading all of the poems, and certainly have a few that are my favorites. The writing is engaging and rhythmic and makes for a pleasant read. Although the subject matter at times is deep and thought-provoking, the language of the poetry is very simple and easy to understand, and anyone of any age can read and enjoy it. I would recommend Dreams, Deeds, and Destiny: Purpose and Possibility in the Space Age by Gwendolyn Rose Forrest to anyone who enjoys poetry and/or philosophy.
