Get into the holiday spirit with Susan Jean Ricci's Double Lead: Love for the Holidays. Dagger Scott is a handsome Alaskan enjoying the holiday he took on a Bahamian beach at the insistence of his beloved grandmother. His life turns upside down after a chance encounter with the beautiful Jinx Arroyo. Engaged to a renowned cardiologist named Fred Elvin, all Jinx wants is to take a break from her fiancé and his family. But as fate brings the two strangers together on Nassau Beach, Dagger and Jinx feel an intense mutual attraction that neither can deny and soon they begin a passionate affair. Reality strikes when Jinx recognizes her moral dilemma and in a moment of vulnerability leaves Nassau for home. However, fate has other plans, and the two lovebirds run into each other again in Alaska. Will Dagger forgive Jinx?
This is the third book I've read by Susan Jean Ricci, and I must say that she has a handle on these short yet thoroughly engrossing love stories like few other contemporaries. Double Lead: Love for the Holidays is yet another riveting tale of two lovers brought together by a twist of fate and finding kindred souls in one other. Dagger and Jinx are two lively personalities who share a mutual love for dogs and complement each other to an extent that they feel like two parts of the same whole. Every scene between the two together is filled with romance and humor. Grab a copy if you're looking for a cozy contemporary love story.
