From Susan Jean Ricci's award-winning Cindy's Crusade's Series comes yet another powerful installment celebrating the love of Cindy and Jay DeMatteo in Don't Bruise the Bananas. This time, Cindy reminisces on the good times of her relationship with her husband, Jay, whom she met on an internet dating site ten years ago. From getting stuck in a storm during a vacation to playful fights in the bedroom, Cindy and Jay spent each moment of their time together full of love and laughter. But it all comes crashing down the day Jay is diagnosed with terminal liver disease. Although the lovebirds put up a brave front facing the situation head-on, as Jay's condition becomes increasingly worse with each passing day, Cindy has no choice but to pray and rely on her faith.
Author Susan Jean Ricci tells a captivating tale of two lovers that breaks your heart yet makes you feel invigorated about life. Don't Bruise the Bananas is full of charm, wit, humor, and romance. Ricci's humorous rendition brings a bit of levity to a moving story that strikes at your heartstrings from the get-go. Cindy and Jay are two immensely likable characters you can't help but love. Their tongue-in-cheek banter and wild adventures keep you amused all the way through. You get a sense of how much they love each other with how they talk and act around each other. Additionally, Ricci's scrumptious prose makes the narrative flow past like melted butter. Don't Bruise the Bananas is a story I highly recommend to anyone suffering grief or heartbreak.
