Disturbed by Suzanne Wilson is an accurate title for this story, given its content. Josh was a happy man with a good job and a beautiful fiancee. His happiness was short-lived after moving into a cottage on his mother’s property. Objects appear in places where he hadn’t put them. Josh freaks out when he is seduced by a sexy redhead named Ariana. She is a jealous ghost who lives in the cottage, and has a vendetta against his family. Josh seeks help from his mother, Susie, but she doesn’t believe him. In fact, everyone close to him thinks he is crazy. The only person who does not is Serena, a strange woman who has psychic abilities. Their research reveals shocking information about Ariana’s past and what her true intentions for his family are. Josh is determined to eliminate this family curse, and will make the ultimate sacrifice to do so. How far will Ariana go to prevent him from carrying out his plan?
Disturbed is a thought provoking paranormal story that had my full attention. I didn’t know there were many categories of ghosts, so I found this information interesting. Ariana’s evil personality was chilling, and Josh’s behaviour was convincing, seeing the traumatic experience he endured. Disturbed made me do some deep thinking as I tried to imagine what my actions would be if placed in a similar situation. Suzanne Wilson’s writing is creative and it shows in the novel. The author’s sequel should be just as intriguing to read.
