Author Biography

I have been married for 44 years. I am a homemaker, wife, mother of two daughters, and grandmother to five grandchildren.
I was born and raised in Lennox, SD and now I live in Broken Arrow, OK with my husband.
I started writing my first book in 2003 and it was published in 2009. My second book was published in 2010.
I am currently working on my third book which is a story about adoption and the journey involved in finding your birth families.
This story is emotionally charged for me because part of the book is my own journey.
I hope this book will give a voice to adopted children everywhere.

Teenage girls have their little clique in school. This is the story of five girls from Vermont that had their own clique. They called themselves the “Fab Five”. Julie Brown was the leader, Jennifer, Dawn, Jessica and Vicki. As years passed by they all went their separate ways. All married except for Vicki. They were reunited at their twelve year reunion. What should have been a happy occasion turned into a disaster. Jennifer was murdered and all clues pointed to Julie. Someone set her up. The other women searched for the real killer before it’s too late for Julie. Feeling there was no hope Julie took a plea bargain. She continued to proclaim her innocence but left her family behind for prison. Her family continued searching for the killer so they could bring Julie back home? Will she regain the trust of her small boys once she gets out or will they forget her?

This is the second book I have read of Ms. Steever and I have to say it is another magnificent example of writing. The reader cannot help but be drawn right into the main stream of the book and become quite connected with the characters.
