Crooked House (Bloodmoon Cove Spirits Series Book 3) by Karen Wiesner is a supernatural novel with an occult theme. Corinne was unaccountably in love with her doctor husband, Tom Buchanan. She was so enchanted by him that every single time he cheated on her, she begged him not to leave her. When Tom's supervisor caught him in bed with a patient, Corrine goes to Ruby, her white witch friend, for help. While Ruby is casting a spell on Tom, something goes wrong, and a Native American man's face appears, followed by an evil spirit. The spirit curses Corrine; she faints, and the spirit disappears. A few days later, Tom dies, and his family's lawyers contact Corrine. They state that she is the only remaining heir and request her presence at the Buchanan Estate. Although Ruby feels that it is unwise to go, she accompanies Corrine.
Injured, Ruby stays at a motel while Corrine goes to the eerie decrepit old house. A few hours later, the man whose face appeared during the defective spell comes to Ruby's door. His name is Rafe, and he is a ghost hunter. He was in a vision trance at the time of the spell and has been continuing to have visions about Corrine. There is a nasty spirit after her soul and Rafe senses that Corrine is in imminent danger. Will Rafe and Ruby be able to liberate Corrine before it is too late?
Crooked House (Bloodmoon Cove Spirits Series Book 3) by Karen Wiesner is a thrilling supernatural novel. It is a spooky tale about a creepy house in an unusual town. The story is spine-chilling from start to finish. Rafe, one of the lead characters, expresses animosity to all witchcraft and declares all witches to be brides of the devil. He maintains that all witches carry the mark of the devil on their foreheads, so they have little hope for their afterlife. Christians and anyone else who enjoys stories with an occult twist will love this book.
