Coming Full Circle: A Sweeping Saga of Conservation Stewardship Across America is a work of fiction in the global issues and climate conservation subgenres. It is best suited to the general adult reading audience and was penned by author team Budd Titlow and Mariah Tinger. In this decades-spanning adventure, we follow the exploits of a family on a unique journey across America and see them change and grow over time as they notice the changes happening to the planet and the people around them. An inspiring central message of conservation emerges as climate and nature suffer, and the question becomes whether we still have time to fix these issues or not.
The future is in our hands, and author team Budd Titlow and Mariah Tinger have crafted an inspiring tale of adventure, discovery, and family ties to help remind us of that. I enjoyed all the different elements of this tale that come together to make for a truly unique reading experience, from the diverse and distinct members of the family-saga-style drama storyline through to the wider messages about climate change, American attitudes to conservation, and a rewriting of history that makes for aspirational and optimistic reading. The narrative is complex and requires patience, but once the different strands of the tale start coming together later on, the reward is well worth it. I’d recommend Coming Full Circle to fans of issues-focused fiction who also enjoy family sagas and tales of growth, learning, and self-discovery.
