Having fallen in love with the beautiful city in South Carolina, Liz with her black labrador, Duke, has started a new life as a private investigator. One fateful morning, Liz’s world is turned upside down when her best friend and neighbor, Peg, is found murdered in her home. Seeing as Liz was the last person to see Peg alive, she is also the prime suspect. Can Liz find out who murdered Peg before the evidence piles up against her?
Author Stacy Wilder will sweep you off your feet into a world of vibrant colors and sensual smells. With an abundance of sensory stimulation, you won’t want to put this book down. The pace is easily maintained in a plot that will keep you hooked from start to finish. The characters are relatable and very likable too. Written in the first-person narrative from the perspective of our protagonist, this mystery feels more personal. Charleston Conundrum is suitable for anyone who enjoys sleuth mysteries, especially with a twist in it. I loved the theme of community that permeates this story. The characters felt like close friends, and I suspected them all. I look forward to the next Liz Adams Mystery along with a few more recipes to try out.
