Canine Complaints is a work of fiction in the animal adventures, action, and drama genres. Penned by author Louise DeVito and assisted by Arthur Dogson Todd, this charming novel chronicles the adventures of Arthur Dogson Todd, an energetic pup who arrives at Misty Meadows Farm and encounters modern society's seemingly innocuous social mores. Renamed by Mr. Cliff, Arthur navigates his new world with suspicion, focusing on perceived assaults on dignity and freedom. Fuelled by keen insights and comedic word battles, Arthur's resolve to fight strengthens, leading him to elevate his self-image to a Dominant Force for Good. Through therapeutic naps and memorable encounters, Arthur embarks on a journey filled with wit, wisdom, and wordplay.

Author Louise DeVito has crafted an absolute delight of a read for animal fans everywhere, offering a unique perspective through the eyes of Arthur Dogson Todd that is narrated with wit, humor, and hope. What really stands out about this novel is its deep roots in the real world and the genuine heart at its core, which is enhanced by the astute social commentary and uplifting theme of self-help and motivation that bubbles under its surface. Arthur's observations of human society are well-penned with excellent narrative and thought presentation, and his determination to uphold the dignity and freedom of all beings is a warm core message that’s sincere and never cheesy. The witty wordplay and vivid imagery brought Arthur's adventures to life with details, atmosphere, and amusing sights through canine eyes. Overall, Canine Complaints is a highly recommended read for those seeking a bright ray of hope and a good chuckle.

Immerse yourself in a humorous adventure tale about a dog's life on a lush green farm with Louise DeVito and Arthur Dogson Todd's Canine Complaints. Arthur -- a Dachshund and Jack Russell mix -- was brought from the Cumberland Plateau to the twenty-two-acre Misty Meadows Farm in Tennessee. From the very beginning, Arthur was a quick learner and displayed an observant personality. He took his duties of searching for intruders and patrolling the farm's perimeters seriously. After an entire fox family invaded the grounds and attacked the chickens, Arthur started his Prior Protection Program (PPP). But Arthur also has other complaints. The cats on the farm show little respect, while Mr. C and O'mamma primarily rely on the snake, X.Terminator, to get rid of rats. Will Arthur be able to make it onto Mr. C's list?

Canine Complaints provides readers with funny and captivating snippets about the life of a farm dog. This adventure story will woo young readers and all animal lovers in general. Louise DeVito and Arthur Dogson Todd tell a fascinating tale narrated through the POV of an adorable dog featuring some enthralling artwork by illustrator Eva Vagreti. DeVito masterfully captures the psyche of a farm dog, offering readers a glimpse into the mind of an animal with an inherent instinct to protect and play. Arthur has a lively personality, and as a reader, you can't help but love him. This story beautifully showcases how animals are capable of love, care, kindness, and empathy. I thoroughly enjoyed the book and highly recommend it to children and adults alike.

Canine Complaints, written by Arthur Dogson Todd and Louise DeVito and illustrated by Eva Vagreti, tells the story of Arthur, a farm dog living in his forever home with Mr. Cliff and O’Mamma. From dealing with frenzied hens, being suspected of stealing eggs, and getting into a serious fight with the rooster to competing with rats and running after the horses, Arthur shares many of his adventures and misadventures on the farm. He is highly observant, and nothing seems to escape his critical eye. As he tells the readers one story after the other, he makes sure to share his interesting views and ideas on seemingly insignificant occurrences in his life.

Canine Complaints by Arthur Dogson Todd and Louise DeVito is a collection of amusing stories narrated in the voice of the book’s lovable protagonist, Arthur. A dog's perspective adds uniqueness to how one views regular events. Arthur’s deep thoughts on the happenings around him and his serious take on apparently silly matters make the stories humorous, but from the assessment of his actions and emotions as well as those of others, one can, at times, learn important lessons. Another enjoyable aspect of the book is the indirect, sarcastic remarks on social and political issues. I also love how the authors portray Arthur’s bittersweet relationship with his humans, Mr. Cliff and O’Mamma. His interactions and experiences with other animals are equally fascinating. I would recommend this book to animal lovers of all ages.
