Cabin Fever by Tara Eldana is the story of two people who both lost in love, but fate had other plans for them. Amy knew that she was doomed from the very beginning. Being in love with your boyfriend’s best friend is like cursing yourself. Amy knew that nothing good would come from it, so she broke things off with Smitty so that she could get over Gray. But then Smitty died and suddenly Gray was everywhere. They grew closer, became happier and were going to be married when Gray left her alone at the altar. She knew from the very beginning this was going to happen, but she still gave it a chance. After that, she promised herself that she would rebuild her life, focus on her career, and make herself forget what happened. However, fate is cruel and will do whatever it takes to bring her past back. So when life brings Gray and Amy together once again, she has no way of avoiding him. What should Amy do now?
This was a heartbreakingly beautiful and poignant story, one that had me sitting on the edge of my seat and wanting to know what would happen next. I wanted to hate Gray, I really did, but he won me over along with Amy at the end. He worked hard to prove himself. Amy was ready to give up everything, but she held on to her heart and made him prove himself. The narrative is smooth, the pace is fast and the characters are given ample opportunities to grow and become better people. I enjoyed the chemistry between Amy and Gray and I loved how they loved each other!
