It is a story of trauma, pain, survival, thriving, hope, healing, redemption, and self-discovery. This book gives hope to a lot of readers out there who are living with painful memories and want to rewrite their lives by changing direction. The author’s stumbling blocks, mistakes, and failures are lessons she learned and she gives readers the tools to make better choices, grow beyond the pain and hurt, and opens up various options that will prevent readers from being consumed by self-blame and self-hatred.
The author’s story is traumatic and scary, and her iron will to come out of it and change her life in a positive way is laudable. She speaks about her life intimately and extensively and pulls in readers, connects with them, and gains their confidence with her honesty.
