Body Hopping Hysterics by Tom E. Moffatt is a collection of seven funny stories that are sure to attract and entertain anyone with an interest in ESP and out of body experiences. He begins and ends this collection with Blush, and Blush Again. A clever way of introducing how dogs have a passion for embarrassing their human owners. The titles of the other five short stories, Empathy Pills, Soul Control, Smothered, Offside, and Another Dimension will give you a good idea of these excellent tales that allow the reader to experience what it's like to step outside your comfort zone and feel what it is like to be a bully, as well as the target of said bullies. Each story has its main character that the title is attached to, and the different emotions that you will recognize. How thrilling would it be to enter the cyber world during a championship soccer match?
Moffatt does an outstanding job of creating not just some whimsical short stories but being able to pull the reader into the minds of his lead characters, as they go through some harrowing, and exhilarating adventures. The rich kid that bullies everyone gets to feel what his victims feel, or the embarrassment of a doting and overbearing mother. The thrills and horrors of being able to jump from one body to another during a kidnapping attempt. The author's writing style kept me entertained as well as on the edge of my seat. He was able to describe in detail all of the action and painful anxieties during a chase as our main character was chasing the person that stole her body. The illustrations by Paul Beavis were spot-on with the author's descriptions that accompany this collection of riveting stories. Tom E. Moffatt's Body Hopping Hysterics was an emotional roller coaster ride from beginning to end with lots of near-miss frustrations and victories that kept the pages turning. Bravo!
