Billy the small bear cub was being taught how to be well mannered. His mom discussed this with him and helped him to better understand what being well mannered is versus behaving in an awful way. She explained to him that being well mannered could be fun, and even made into a game. Each time Billy did something that resulted in him being well mannered, he placed a star upon a board. This was because Billy did these things without his mother having to ask him to do them. His goal was to get as many stars on his board as possible. Billy received a star for getting up, eating breakfast and getting ready without having to be told. He received another star for helping his mother into the car, putting his seat belt on and riding politely. When they arrived at the store, Billy got in the cart for his mother to push, and politely responded to others if they waved or spoke with him. When he got back home, he received a couple more stars.
