Meet eight-year-old Belinda in the story Belinda: Princess Warrior In Training by Linda Generally. Belinda wants to be in the Army just like her father when she grows up. Her parents call her the princess warrior in training. She puts on her armor when she gets out of her bed, just like how her parents have taught her. Though it is imaginary armor, Belinda can see it clearly. Jeannie and Josh are Belinda's best friends in school and they live on the same street. After getting inspired listening to Mrs. Grace, their church teacher, Belinda and her friends decide to join God's Army. They practice doing silent prayers and it becomes one of Belinda's favorite things to do.
The story takes young readers closer to God and helps them understand the power of prayers. The author tackles a relevant topic in an encouraging and entertaining way and introduces children to Jesus and going to church on Sundays. It is a perfect story to read out during Bible study classes and read aloud sessions in classrooms as children learn to pray, say their prayers, and realize that God always listens to their silent prayers. It is a good story for parents to read out to their kids at home during bedtime and get them acquainted with praying and Jesus Christ. Books like this come in handy when parents and tutors want to speak about the topic of God, prayers, and praying to children. The story of Belinda is a good way to do it.
