K.S. Ruff has brought Kristine Stone back for some new developments in the second installment of the Broken Series, Beautifully Broken. Kristine is surprised one day to find Michael in her house. It comes as no surprise that he wants her to be with him, but what's shocking is the lengths that he is willing to pursue to get her. With her love, family and friends in danger, Kristine decides to go along with his plot in hopes of keeping them safe. What she is shocked to discover is that she is still attracted to him. Will Kristine be able to sacrifice what she holds dear to keep them safe? Or will temptation be too much to bear, forcing her to leave behind what is safe and familiar for something that is dangerous and exciting?
The first book in the Broken Series by K.S. Ruff ended really well, leaving me excited to read the next installment. Kristine is portrayed well. The dialogue is captivating and enticing. The love scenes are also just as scintillating as in the first book. Kristine and Michael's history comes through in this book as well as how broken life has made them. Their struggle to find happiness and love is written well and pulls at the reader's heartstrings. What's more is that Kristine's character development from the first book continues in this book, showing how much the author understands the human mind. Even though Kristine believes she has finished healing, there is more that can still be done.
