In Artificial Gods, Jasmine notices a faint glow and sees a UFO hovering over her backyard, the lawn tapering into a vast field of wild wheat, before it is gone in mere seconds in a bright light. When her eyes adjust, Jasmine could not find anything in the sky to justify what she had seen. She considers it an atmospheric phenomenon. Pine Bush surely had enough decaying vegetation to make this a possible, if not likely, reason. Yet two men in black harass her about the incident at her home, and the Grays actually have something planned that involves her. Jasmine realizes that her wish for a calm summer won’t be granted at all. Author Thomm Quackenbush once again presents readers with another gripping tale with Book Three of the Night’s Dream Series.

I don’t understand the so-called love triangle between Jasmine, Chrys, and Dylan. However, I like Jasmine and her thoughts on aliens, her relationship with her younger sister, and boys in general. I find the plot and pacing of the story faultless. Also, I have to applause the way Jasmine calmly handles the interrogation from the men in black, who are the worst version of this mysterious group I've read so far - singing "Mary Had a Little Lamb" in a falsetto?

Unfortunately, even though I truly enjoyed Artificial Gods, Thomm Quackenbush might want to revise the formatting of this book. That being said, the readability is still fairly intact, and UFO enthusiasts would definitely enjoy this one.
