In Arnolfini Art Mysteries 2 by Rich DiSilvio, respected art dealer and investigator Armand is looking forward to a honeymoon with his new wife, Andrea, when his father Sergio gives him some shocking news. Sergio believes he knows the whereabouts of the infamous Leda and the Swan by Da Vinci. As they postpone their plans, the trio heads to Paris to find the artwork whose prestige equals the Mona Lisa. Once they have solved this mystery, more unsolved crimes seem to come their way. As Armand and Andrea continue to hunt down unscrupulous criminals in the art world, they become embroiled with violent crime gangs, master forgers and even a brutal murderer at Edgar Allan Poe's cottage in the Bronx. Armand is determined to solve the mysteries of missing or counterfeit treasures and bring the criminals to justice. He even uncovers the truth behind a famous building that will rewrite history.
In Arnolfini Art Mysteries 2, Rich DiSilvio has written this engaging selection of short stories in such a poetic fashion. I was immediately entranced. He paints each scene and every character so colorfully with minute details that bring everything to life. I thought Armand was an amazing character; his dialogue exhibits great personality traits from a wicked sense of humor to unwavering bravery and a huge heart for those close to him. I thought the scenes between him and his father were especially poignant. There are superb moments of tension and action that will make your heart race. The photography and artwork throughout were amazing and add even more interest to the story. If you love history, art and architecture, then you will be blown away by this novel. I highly recommend it.
