Annabelle’s Santa is a very enriching story concerning Annabelle and the many questions that she has for Nana and Papa about visiting the North Pole. Papa explains to Annabelle the very exciting mission that he was on from Santa. He made frequent trips to the North Pole in order to watch and observe what was happening. He was learning much of what took place and how he could help to continue to make things go smoothly when it might come time for Santa to retire. What a great honor that Papa and Nana had in potentially one day being chosen to become the next Mr. and Mrs. Santa Claus.
Author Ranell Murphy takes the adult reader on a very exciting journey to the North Pole and allows the reader to experience their childhood all over again. For the child that is reading or being read to, it is a wonderful story, allowing them to jump into the middle of this Christmas time adventure. This book is filled with exciting details and vivid illustrations that enable the reader to become fully engaged within the story. Isabel Nadal does a beautiful job illustrating this adventurous story. There are breathtaking illustrations that draw the reader into the story, causing them to turn the pages with great excitement. This is a lovely book that should be read during the Christmas season to bring excitement into the lives of children. This would be an excellent library book, where it could reach out to many children during reading time.
