All Shook Up by Chelsey Krause is a humorous tale of Natalie’s journey to find herself. Natalie was adopted at birth and, until now, has never really questioned her roots. Working as the manager of a thrift shop, she is going through a box of donated items when she discovers a photo of a woman who looks suspiciously like herself. Tracking down the address the box came from, she finds a drop-dead gorgeous fireman by the name of Sam, who offers to help her find the woman in the photo. Sam and Natalie soon become best friends as they unite to find Natalie’s mother. Both Sam and Natalie have baggage that they would prefer to forget, but, as time goes on, they become more than friends and secrets from the past start to spill out. Will they find Natalie’s mother, and can their relationship go anywhere?
All Shook Up by Chelsey Krause is a wonderful story. The characters are unique, each with their own quirky nature, and they are developed incredibly well through the story. This is a light-hearted read and you will find yourself rooting for Natalie and Sam all the way. These are people that we can all identify with on some level, characters that are true to life with real problems and very real solutions. Chelsey Krause has given us a fun story here, one that is all go. Every page counts towards the story and every chapter leads seamlessly to the next, with plenty of hooks to keep you reading. Excellent story, I thoroughly enjoyed it and highly recommend it to chick lit lovers the world over.
