This book was written for my youngest grand daughter who loves the books Grandma Cindy wrote for her.
She often carries her books with her wherever she goes and she stops everyone she meets and says,
"Look, I'm in a book. My Grandma Cindy wrote this for me."
People often take the time to look at her books. They marvel at how cute the pictures are and how much fun the books are to read.
Often, I get asked when the next book is coming out.
I laugh and say. "The next book is on it's way."

Join Aaliyah as she experiences her firsts in life. As you and your child read the story, you become involved in Aaliyah’s adventures. Aaliyah and her Aunt Summer travel from Kansas City, Missouri to New York to visit her Cousin Jesse. This is her first airplane ride and her first ride outside of Missouri. Children are always excited about experiencing new things; it creates an excitement in them that is unmatched.
As I began reading The Little Adventures of Aaliyah P. by Lucinda Weeks, it put me in mind of when I was young and bitten by the reading bug. This began my quest for reading. I would love to read, but looking at the colorful illustrations made me curious about the story, thus began my own adventures. I am sure that your child can relate as they read The Little Adventures of Aaliyah P. because if they are fairly young they too will be experiencing several firsts in their lives as well.
