"A Fly on the Wall, A Bartender's Perspective" is an interesting book by a professional bartender. It includes stories of his take on the people he serves and the people he works for. The book by AJ Rothberg is quite funny and is an enjoyable read. Not all the people that come in his bar are the most upstanding and he tells tales that are really interesting. He worked in many locations and for many different people. He includes recipes for special drinks. This memoir also includes his other interests such as ski patrol and cooking.
"A Fly on the Wall, A Bartender's Perspective" is a very funny book, occasionally a bit on the salty side but quite enjoyable. The author, AJ Rothberg, has been a bartender in many different bars for years and has seen it all. He tells how he gets rid of troublesome customers and how to handle those that insist they can drive home when he can tell they can't. Without giving names, he describes some of the bosses he had that were not always nice people. You will enjoy the other interests he has such as ski patrol. Rothberg tells of some of the cases that he has helped while in this capacity. He is good at describing the "how to" of making special mixed drinks as well as how to cook with alcohol. I especially like the recipe for steak marinated with whiskey and other such good stuff.
