Rosa channels her psychic abilities and sets out to investigate on her own with the help of her familiar, Raul, to find the truth and catch a killer.
Ileana Munoz Renfroe has created a fun and original story that blends the lighthearted tone of a cozy mystery with the paranormal. The story takes you into the world of fashion through the gala and Rosa's own deep investment through her line and her boutique. The story has a blend of murder and ghosts with a tone that delivers a fun personality and an intriguing mystery. These two worlds of fashion and the paranormal are balanced in Rosa's life with her psychic abilities coming second to her fashion skills until a model is murdered and it's her psychic abilities that take the lead as she takes on another role: sleuth. The mystery also has a personal element when her nana is suspected and Rosa is determined to prove that her nana is innocent. Rosa's nana is a clear influence in her life and this relationship is a strong driving force and support for her through her psychic abilities and her job. The mystery puts her in the path of the handsome Sheriff Storm who catches her eye in more ways than one and the two have an immediate spark between them. The mystery makes for a great read. It is an all-round fun time with an emotional core full of heart, a ghostly presence, and a fashion-forward sleuth that makes A Fashionable Fate charming, funny, and delightful.
