Luca Dell'Anna's 100 Truths You Will Learn Too Late outlines a series of rules for us to live by and for us to plan and direct our actions in life. The point of the book is to give readers a chance to learn and understand, sooner rather than later, some basic facts about living life successfully and becoming who we want to be. Learning to make intelligent decisions based on the author’s lessons learned in his life are spelled out in his rules or truths. With sacrifice and determination, they can help us to achieve our goals in employment, in investing, and in interactions with others, and in finding success and contentment in our lives.

The title of this book may almost seem pessimistic, making us think it is too late to learn the truths inside, yet 100 Truths You Will Learn Too Late by Luca Dell'Anna actually offers us optimism. There is an emphasis on the author’s experiences and subsequent discoveries about how life works within the context of his own life, so readers will find his advice appropriate when applying it to their own lives. An interesting feature of this book is the Table of Contents which lists the “truths” that the author discusses in more detail throughout the text, allowing readers to immediately discover what the book is about. Studying the truths is useful, but the author’s commentary and observations about each truth are necessary to get the full benefit of his message and how to apply them effectively. This is a thoughtfully written book in very straightforward language. By implementing its truths, readers can make positive changes in their lives or, at the very least, realize they have more control over their lives than they think.
