The Atheist's Mistake: A Biblical Perspective on Truth by C.L. Sihag is a series of poems on spiritual well being and introspection about one's own faith. Entering into the book, I was not quite prepared for the poetry. The description made me feel as though an argument would be made for Christianity to oppose the ideas of Atheism. However, the book is more accurately a spiritual worship piece, presenting little argument and primarily praise and soulful works about the author's love for both God and the Word of God.
The poems were lyrical and well thought out, and had a very musical quality. This quality made the poems flow nicely and easily over the tongue and created beautiful visuals. I particularly enjoyed the accompanying biblical verses. The psalms and other scriptures chosen for each poem did a good job to highlight the meaning of each piece, centering the ideas on Christian values. Even when a poem didn't seem explicitly worship-based, the scripture brought it back into line with biblical teachings and what a godly reader should try to take from the poem.
Although I doubt The Atheist's Mistake: A Biblical Perspective on Truth will do much to sway atheistic opinion, it will serve as a gentle companion and affirmation to those people who already believe that atheists have made a mistake. C.L. Sihag is a talented poet who has combined words and spirituality to create a beautiful piece which will inspire and motivate countless Christians towards a deeper faith.
